Kuwait Employment Law Overview

Kuwait Labour Law No. 6 of 2010 governs all private-sector employment in Kuwait. The law provides comprehensive protections for employees, including generous leave entitlements (30 days annual leave), strong end-of-service indemnity provisions, and strict limits on working hours and probation periods.

Kuwait has one of the most generous end-of-service indemnity systems in the GCC: 15 days' salary per year for the first 5 years, then one full month per year thereafter, with no statutory cap. Unlike Saudi Arabia, resignation does not reduce the indemnity amount.
