WPS is mandatory for all UAE employers. Your salary must be transferred through an approved channel — bank transfer or exchange house. The system records every payment. If your employer is late by more than 15 days, the system flags it automatically to MoHRE.
The gap: WPS only records what is transferred, not what should be transferred. If your contract says AED 1,500 but your employer only sends AED 1,000 through WPS (deducting AED 500 for "accommodation" or "recruitment fees"), the WPS shows a compliant AED 1,000 payment.
